I started a new play through of Stardew Valley and figured I would share some gameplay here on the blog. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a cute little rpg/farming game. Your character inherits a farm from their grandfather who has passed. You can fix up your farm, forage, fish, mine, fight creatures, and even fall in love, get married and have kids. There is so much more you can do, but if you’re considering playing, I’ll just let you find out the rest for yourself.
So I created Avarie, and her farm is named “Evergreen Farm”. The first week was really all about foraging. I needed to get plenty of wood to create a storage chest, fix a bridge at the beach, and I also needed to collect different plants to not only sell for money, but to gift to Avarie’s soon-to-be husband Harvey, the town doctor. 😉
Avarine did plenty of foraging and farm improvements while also discovering the abandoned community center, was asked to help complete the library’s collection of artifacts and relics, and did some fishing for extra cash. At the end of the week, her farm is looking a lot less chaotic, and she’s built up a little money, almost enough for a bigger backpack, which she will need pretty soon!
